Although a Monk has Open Locks and Remove Traps skills, they can only be employed if Thieves picks and tools are used.

Special
A – The ability to speak with animals as druids do
B – The ability to mask the mind so that ESP has only a 30% chance of success. Each level after 4th, the Monk gets +2 to this resistance.
C – Immune to all diseases, slow and haste spells. Fall 30ft without taking damage as long as within 4ft of a surface like a wall.
D – Ability to put themselves into a self-induced catalepsy for 2 x level turns
E – Heal Damage, 1d4 +1, with +1 for each level over 8th.
F – The ability to speak with plants as Druids do.
G – 50% resistance to beguiling, charms, hypnosis and suggestion based spells. This increases by 5% for each level above 9th. Saving throws apply if resistance fails.
H – Against telepathic and mind blast attacks, act as if monk has an intelligence of 18
I – Immune to all poisons.
J – Immune to all geas and quest based spells
